This intensive two-day online training program is designed to prepare students for the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC) in collaboration with NASO. Participants will learn to use Astrometrica software to identify and report potential asteroid discoveries.
Format: Online live training sessions | Duration: 2 days (4 hours total) | Certificate provided
Objective: Equip students with practical skills in asteroid detection and data analysis, contributing to real scientific research.
Prerequisites: Basic computer skills. No prior astronomy experience required.

Introduction to the program, NASA collaboration, and hands-on setup of Astrometrica software with practice image sets.
Practical asteroid detection exercises, breakout room sessions, and learning to submit observation reports in the correct format.
Additional practice and preparation sessions with mentor guidance before the official campaign begins on October 15.
Official start of the All-Nepal Asteroid Search Campaign where trained participants can contribute to real asteroid discovery efforts.
